PT. Sarinah Agro Mandiri (SAM) was founded as an Organic Trading Company with the aims and objectives of running a business in the fields of: Agriculture, Plantation, Trading of Agricultural Products, Distribution, Transportation, Production.
To achieve the aims and objectives mentioned above, the company can carry out the following business activities:
Carrying out business in the agricultural sector, including Export-Import and Trading of agricultural and plantation equipment, export-import and trading of agricultural and plantation materials, export-import Trading of agricultural products , upstream and downstream industries for agricultural, plantation and horticultural products, running businesses in the fields of agriculture, industry, farming, agribusiness, farming and herbal farming, agricultural consulting as well as plantation and agricultural equipment rental services.
The establishment of PT. Sarinah Agro Mandiri (PT. SAM) and the Sarinah Organic Farmers Group were based on the care and love of the late. Hj. Tien Esa Amongpradja, as the founder and supervisor of the Itikurih Hibarna Foundation in Ciparay sub-district and the community, especially the rice fields who have been cultivating and managing these rice fields for decades (several generations). With initial capital of only 5 hectares of his own, the farmer group was founded. As founder, Late. Hj. Tien Esa Amongpradja took the courage to start implementing an organic rice program in the Ciparay area, Bandung Regency
Sarinah Organic Rice is rice produced by the Sarinah Organic Farming Group which is assisted by the Bandung Regency Agriculture Department, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia and the Itikurih Hibarna Foundation which is a non-profit social foundation that operates in the field of education and agriculture. Located in Ciparay District, Bandung Regency, West Java.
On November 7 2011, after going through a long organic certification process, the Sarinah farmer group obtained an organic food certificate from one of the INOFICE certification bodies which is valid to this day. And in 2015, the Sarinah Farmers Group also obtained a Variety Authenticity Certificate which was valid for the next year. This is proof of the competence of the Sarinah Organic Farmers Group in producing organic food, especially rice.
